The following copyright terms, agreement, and license ("COPYRIGHT TERMS") apply to all products ("PRODUCTS") (both premium & free products) offered on our website ("https://promu.io/"). By accessing, purchasing, downloading, or using our products, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound to the following copyright terms. If you're not eligible, do not agree to the following copyright terms, or did not purchase or download our products through our website and illegally obtained them through a third-party, you do not have our permission to use our products for both commercial and non-commercial use.
All products from www.promu.io are sold as royalty free or master clearance guaranteed which means that they are licensed, not sold to you, by PROMU. PROMU is either the owner or entitled licensee of the products on sale. By making payment for a product you are granted the right to incorporate them in a music production, film, tv program, website or other media production, without paying any additional royalties, license fees, or any other fees to PROMU or any third parties unless otherwise stated in additional licensing materials or product descriptions.
Copying, re-selling, leasing, duplicating or distribution in any form of the products for sale, other than outlined in the 'License Agreement', is strictly prohibited. This extends, but is not limited, to file sharing websites, web forums, computer networks and file hosting websites. Products cannot be distributed in their original format or sold in a manner that would be considered competitive with the nature of PROMU's business. Everything else on the website is licensed to PROMU, including artwork, source code, materials, audio demos, graphics, text and logos and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
PROMU will be held harmless against any losses, judgements, claims, legal fees or court costs that may arise out of a breach of these terms and conditions. By entering this agreement you agree not to sue or recover any damages from PROMU and any affiliated companies or people as a result of its decision to terminate or suspend this agreement.
While PROMU will take reasonable and sufficient steps to ensure that the website is free from any viruses, trojans, malware, spyware, harmful software, data theft or any unauthorized malicious activity, PROMU make no guarantees on this subject and will not be held liable for any loss resulting from this.
If you use any of our products in your original work, you may not use our likeness ("PROMU") as a featured artist, composer, or producer. Without our permission, any use of our likeness is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of our royalty-free vocals that some products contain. If these vocals are used in your original work, you are strictly prohibited from using our likeness or the likeness of the original vocal artist that provided the vocal samples to us.
Q: Do I have 100% ownership of my composition if I use your samples and presets?
A: Yes, you'll have full ownership of your composition. However, note that you don't own the copyright to the samples and presets. Other customers can use the same samples and presets without infringing your copyright and vice-versa.
Q: If I use the same samples and presets as another producer, am I infringing on their work?
A: No. Neither do you or another producer who uses the same sounds, have an exclusive license to our samples and presets. So many users may use the same samples and presets.
Q: Do I need to give credits if I use your samples and presets?
A: No. That's the whole point of a royalty-free license. It allows you to utilize our samples and presets without having to give us any credits or royalties. Using our name within your work without our permission is even strictly prohibited.
Q: Do I keep this license if I refund a premium product?
A: Yes, you do. Although you'll lose access to download the product in the future, if you should lose access to it, you won't lose this license if you refund a product and can continue using it as described above.
Q: If I use an unedited, isolated loop as the beginning of my composition, is that covered by the royalty-free license?
A: Because the sample is included in a larger composition, the sample is covered by the royalty-free license even if the sample is solo'd at some point in the track.
